Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book Allan for an event?

If you have a particular date in mind, contact Allan to see if there might be a tentative hold on the date. “Tentatives” are not listed on the website speaking schedule; only confirmed bookings are posted (and weeks can elapse between putting a hold on the date and when he receives a written confirmation).

How far in advance is Allan booked?

Depending on where you are geographically located, it is about 6 months. His busiest months are February, July, August and October. Feel free to book Allan up to a year in advance during these months.

How large or small an audience does Allan work with?

It makes no difference to him. He has worked in front of 5,000, but  200-500 are more usual. But he also works with small groups and has had as few as one.

If the date is open, how do we put a hold on it?

That can be done via email and the date will be held for 30 days, by which time Allan must receive signed confirmation by email, mail or fax.

Is any money needed to hold a date?

No money is required in advance, but if you cancel within 3 months of the program date, there is a penalty of $1000. Unless other arrangements are made beforehand, it is requested that you have a check for the speaker’s fee ready on the day of the program; you are billed separately for the travel expenses after the program.

May we videotape Allan’s presentation?

Most of Allan's material is copyrighted, so the answer must be no. Additionally, the taping process can interfere with the audience response and participation. Further, without adequate lighting and sound equipment, taping would offer a poor record of his presentation.

What subjects does Allan cover in his programs?

Allan speaks on a variety of subjects for different audiences.

Most of his presentations are on various aspects of personal empowerment, ranging from weight management to stress reduction.

For businesses and non-profit organizations, Allan tailors his presentations to organizational needs. For example, he offers a special program on personal productivity.

His goal is to provide superior presentations that are “meaningful and fun.”
